2nd Place at VMS Celebrity Race

Congratulations to Jason Hylton on his second place run at the 1st Annual Tribute to Thunderbowl Celebrity Race. Valdosta Motor Speedway allowed the drivers to vote for a Daytona 500 style qualifying races where Hylton took 2nd in the first heat for a inside row 2 starting spot. Once the race got underway and the tire started coming in, Jason was able to get up to second and start battling for the lead. At the halfway mark, teams were allowed to refuel and hydro the drivers. Jason started the second 25 laps in 3rd and was able to quickly jump to 2nd and again battle for the lead. Several yellows hurt the chances of the team, since our kart was setup for more long green runs, but we were happy with a 2nd place effort with a veteran driver and crew.

Legends of Thunderbowl - September 19

J9 Motorsports will be teaming up with former go-kart and National Latemodel Sportsman Series driver Jason Hylton to run the Legends of Thunderbowl Celebrity race on September 19 at Valdosta Motor Speedway. The race was originally scheduled to be run on September 12, however after 10 quick practice laps, mother nature stepped in.
